Nothing is needed to get the Sub Tank, but due to the late nature in which we get to Storm Eagle's stage (if you follow our boss order and flowchart), you won't actually get a chance to get it until some time into the game. staying still and firing will get you no where). To get it, use the Boomerang Cutters (but jump and then fire so that the Cutters go down and grab the Sub Tank. but instead, look to your right, and in the corner of the screen you'll spot the Sub Tank we seek. At this point, you'll eventually run into another ladder leading up. In the very beginning of the stage, go forward and then when you come to a ladder leading downward, take it and continue rightward. To obtain this Sub Tank from Spark Mandrill's stage, you'll need to return to the stage with the Boomerang Cutters after you defeat Boomer Kuwanger (that is, if you're following our flowchart and order). When you do this, the 'lair' where the Bulldozer was sitting before will now be empty, and you can grab the Sub Tank you find there! Quickly go down low enough to activate it, then climb back upwards and let it pass underneath you. You'll spot an enemy Bulldozer to your left.

Here, cling to the left wall and slide downward.

After the initial part of the stage where you are literally catapulted down the hill via the metal slide thing (whatever you want to call it), you'll continue rightward and then be able to head downward. To grab the first of four Sub Tanks in this game, head to Armored Armadillo's stage.
